Meet Zuleika Caro Rocha
I’m Zuleika Caro Rocha, a Puerto Rican artist and writer based in Santa Clarita, California. My creative work grows from the experiences that have shaped me: my cultural roots, my faith, the people I love, and the ways we learn to begin again.
Working with acrylics and mixed media, I explore identity, grief, resilience, and the tenderness that can exist alongside strength. Painting gives me room to express what is sometimes difficult to put into words. Each piece holds a personal connection, while leaving space for others to recognize something of their own experience.
Creating together
That same care carries into my children’s books. Together with my husband and creative collaborator, Ricardo Rocha, I create stories and activities that invite children to explore kindness, prayer, patience, and friendship. Our time volunteering in children’s church gives these themes a meaningful place in our lives beyond the page.
Through Caro Rocha Designs, I bring these parts of my creative life together. My hope is that a painting offers a moment of recognition, or that a story becomes the beginning of a thoughtful conversation.
